On the 1st of April, 2013 we opened our doors for the good people of Cambridge. Straight from the turquoise blue waters of Elafonisos, Laconia & the family ventures of Capari Suites, the Kouzini Restaurant and the Canal Bar, we carry on aspiring for excellent hospitality since 1936.

Our menus showcase the best of Greece with the finest local ingredients bringing out exuberant flavours. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan items are integral to our Greek Diet striving for taste whilst ensuring nutrition, good health and a long-life.

Pioneering sustainable sourcing & cooking with low-wastage values, we try to do our bit for the environment. Our ethos is to use seasonal, local, and mostly organic vegetables, while meat & fish are cooked from nose-to-tail. Proud to be official members of the SRA (Sustainable Restaurant Association).

As Greek people like to say the word gastronomy hides inside it the word astronomy; replicating that experience of dining in tranquillity among the stars is our way of life.

At the Olive Grove we can plan and execute special events for our guests; weddings, baptisms, hen parties, stag dos, baby showers and corporate events, nothing is too much trouble. We can also stay open for you until late or early morning hours entertaining you and your guests.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take large bookings?

We love serving large parties for weddings, baptisms, special occasions, corporate events, wine tasting sessions and workshops. Nothing is too much trouble. Our ground floor will fit up to 35 guests and our 1st floor up to 70 guests.

How much does it cost per person?

Our 3-course Party & Sharing Menus cost £25 per person inclusive of VAT. The Party menu is a 3-course meal served on individual plates for every guest while the Sharing menu is a 3-Course meal served on the middle of the table for people to share. You just let us know what kind of ratio to maintain between meat and veggies and we take care of the rest.

Can we hire one of your rooms for exclusive use?

Of course you can hire either or both for those grand parties. There is a minimum spend charge that varies depending on the time and day of the week. Weekday lunch would be a lot cheaper than Fri-Sat evenings. Please enquire for further details.

What does the minimum charge include?

It includes Food, Drink and VAT. It does not include the optional service-charge.

How long can we stay in your premises?

Parties that have hired one of our rooms for exclusive dinner use can stay up to 3am and even up to 5am(special conditions apply). If you are planning on entertaining your guests after dinner, our proposition is probably the best value for money in the city of Cambridge.

What other services do you offer?

We offer Wedding and Event planning services, Greek live bands, Live Piano Sessions, Food and Bakery Workshops.

Is there a deposit to be paid?

The deposit is £5 per person rising to £10 per person for Christmas bookings. It can be paid in person, over the phone or via BACS. The deposit counts towards your final bill. All bookings are considered provisional until a deposit has been paid to secure the reservation.

What is a provisional booking?

A provisional booking means that if demand requires it your reservation might be cancelled and offered to other customers without any other prior notice.

Is the deposit refundable?

The deposit is not refundable. The money paid for the deposit can be used towards a bill in the restaurant for up to a year from the date the deposit was taken.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Only under very special circumstances, like for example if you require a special brand of alcohol or wine that we do not stock and granted that a room has been hired for exclusive use.

Do you charge corkage fees?

For an accurate quotation of our corkage fees we require a list of what you intend to bring into the premises.

Can you provide us with a VAT invoice?

Of course we can, just let us know and kindly provide your company details if no account already exists. We are a Cambridge University Approved Supplier and several Colleges have an account with us.

Do you offer any Discounts?

10% Discount Anytime Mon-Thu applicable to our A La Carte Menu ONLY for Students, Seniors, NHS staff, British Security Services Staff and Cambridge City/County Council Staff. Please present your relevant ID to receive the discount.
